Elder Sister

Eldersister is an indie-folk duo comprised of sisters Kaitlin and Marissa Sevy. The lyricism finds itself anchored by Marissa’s rich harmonies blending seamlessly with Kaitlin’s soulful vocals and mesmerizing guitar melodies, creating a sound that is undeniably rooted in their shared blood. Without first knowing the inspiration or context of each track, their songs take listeners through bold and sometimes deeply personal vignettes of memory and imagery, connecting them undeniably to shared experiences of emotional potency. The duo’s thematic and conceptual songwriting explores the intricate dance between friendship and love, the confounding complexities of self-deception, and the hard work of hope in the midst of chaos. The album strikes a balance between consistency and variety with the smart lyrics, confronting life’s struggles with naked authenticity and infectious energy. Their first album “Tell Me A Lie” was brought to life by the skilled hands of fellow musician Tyler Sevy (Whiskey Tooth Revival, Paris Green, Nordic Slang) and producer Nate Torgerson (Erik the Red, Nordic Slang) at Amusement Co. Records in St. George, Utah. Eldersister just released their debut album Tell Me a Lie on vinyl and digital platforms which is a fresh and invigorating addition to the indie-folk scene.
